Earlier this month, East LA Rotarians and Garfield High School Interactors read to classes at Fourth Street Elementary School for the NEA’s Read Across America Day –  a nationwide reading celebration, honoring Dr. Seuss.    This national event aims to bring adults, teens and kids together to foster the joy of reading, an important ingredient in academic success.   East LA Rotarians shared their favorite Dr. Seuss books and a bit about themselves.  The club’s partnership with Fourth Street Elementary began in 1995 with the formation of the world’s first Kideract Club, for elementary school age children following the principles of Rotary.
