This past weekend East LA Rotary sent 10 middle and high school students to the Interact Symposium and Teen Leadership Camp (TLC) at Thousand Pines Camp in Crestline, CA.  They joined peers from Southern California and Nevada Interact Clubs, enjoyed a full program of speakers, workshops and fellowship. The program was informational, motivational, laced with humor, dancing, and singing, resulting in tons of fun. At the end the kids bonded like one big family.

Rotary is the only International Service Organizations that sponsors clubs comprised of young people ranging in ages from six to twenty six; in Elementary school clubs are named Kideract; in Middle School to High School the clubs are named Interact; and, in college the clubs are named Rotoract. They all have the same purpose; to teach leadership skills to its members while promoting fellowship amongst its members by instructing on how to organize, fund raise, and promote projects for the benefit of their communities and Internationally.
